Bio - Jack LiVigni

In parallel with his pedagogical work, LiVigni has appeared as a performing artist with leading international opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, Oper Frankfurt, De Nederlandse Opera, Beijing Opera, Opéra de Marseille, Chicago Opera Theater, and Michigan Opera Theatre, etc. His experience on the operatic stage continues to inform his teaching, grounding his approach in the practical demands of international performance.

LiVigni’s artistic formation is rooted in a distinguished lineage of vocal pedagogy. He studied with his father, Salvatore LiVigni, and furthered his training with Salvatore Fisichella, Franco Corelli, Carlo Bergonzi, and Arrigo Pola. He is a graduate of the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. This foundation, deeply embedded in the Italian operatic tradition and refined through rigorous conservatory training, informs a pedagogical approach centered on technical clarity, stylistic integrity, and expressive freedom.

Renowned for his exacting ear and highly refined technical perspective, LiVigni specializes in the development of advanced and professional voices. His work focuses on the integration of vocal efficiency, consistency, and artistic expression, with particular emphasis on resolving complex technical challenges and sustaining vocal longevity at the highest level.

His students and collaborators appear regularly on the stages of the world’s leading opera houses and concert platforms, and are also represented in major young artist programs, international competitions, and major record labels. In addition to his teaching, LiVigni is regarded as a trusted advisor to singers and institutions, offering a rigorous and deeply informed perspective on vocal artistry and professional development.
